Welcoming Key Account Manager Jason Dorks
Often being the face of RML for customers, our Business Development team is integral to the business’s success. The team supports customers through their entire journey with us from the initial contact and tender through to after sales.
As our national presence has progressed so rapidly, a vacancy had become available for someone to cover our Northern regions. A new addition to the team would ensure our customers in all corners of the UK receive the support needed.
We have recently taken on Jason Dorks as our new Key Account Manager for the North. Jason has the approachable personality that we were looking for to match our brand image and create lasting relationships. In addition, he also holds vast previous experience in the construction industry.
Through working as a Business Development Manager for various companies, Jason has experience in timber engineering – supplying external facades and timber frames. This has proven to be an excellent starting point for Jason in order to pick up product knowledge quickly and understand our customer’s needs.
As a keen golfer and car enthusiast, Jason is settled into business development as a career. Creating lasting relationships with a wide variety of clients and goal setting to gain new business are the aspects that Jason has credited to keeping the passion for his role alive.
Jason has already made a great impression and spent his first 2 weeks learning the key processes we work around with the support of our team. He also also spent some time gaining insight into the key clients he will be in close contact with.
Following an insightful induction, Jason commented his future with RML:
‘I am particularly looking forward to increasing sales opportunities, thus utilising the production capacity of our factories – and of course working with a great bunch of people.’
With his enthusiasm and ample experience in this industry, we are confident in Jason’s ability to work with our housebuilder customers to promote RML effectively. As first point of contact for sales in the North going forward, becoming more familiar with our customer base will be an exciting process for Jason in the coming months.
