The timber supply sector is experiencing a global redistribution as demand increases outside the UK.

As a result, the market is already experiencing increases in the cost of wall plate, bracing and TR26.

RML is committed to holding firm on prices to our UK housebuilding customers until the end of October, when we will review the situation.

We expect the situation to normalise and prices to soften by Q2 of 2021 as a result of a number of factors, including the results of the US election, the re-emergence of Canadian supply, Brexit and UK market conditions post March.

Robinson Manufacturing is not experiencing, nor does it anticipate, any issues with timber supply. Simon Kidney, CEO explains: “Our reputation for unrivalled service, quality and integrity is underpinned by substantial experience, sensible planning and consistent attention to detail. We have applied this same approach to mitigating supply chain risk thanks to a broad mix of imported timber and direct supply.”

For more information or to discuss pricing of any joist or truss supply, please get in touch with us, we will be happy to help.
