The Extra Mile May 2019
Every month, Robinson Manufacturing rewards a member of staff who has done something exceptional, whether that’s to help colleagues or customers.
Nominations can be made by any of our colleagues, and the winner is chosen by the leadership team.
For May, the award winners are:
|Winner||Nominated by||Reason for nomination|
|Anne-Marie Phillips||Mark Smy||Drove to Bristol on a Friday night to pick a lorry driver up because he ran out of hours. Then on the Saturday did the same in reverse. Over and above, thanks Anne-Marie.|
|Claire Watterston||Colin Thomson||For her work in getting RML Scotland live on the TSM System. After attending initial training sessions she compiled a list of issues that required clarification prior to us going live on the system. She re-arranged childcare to allow her to be in the office on her usual morning off to receive further training, resolving issues to allow us to go live. Appreciated, thanks Claire.|
|Rebekah Boden||Jamie Wilkins||Rebekah has used any free time she has found to help assist withadmin issues surrounding production. From assisting with the day-to-day processing of next day deliveries to taking lead of point of contact on outstanding POD chasing, Rebekah has helped organise the extra process more efficiently, Thanks!|
|Ellis Beattie||Tom Carter||Using his initiative to locate himself where shortfalls in labour arose without the need for instruction. This ensured that waiting times across each team was reduced to a minimum, a great help, thanks.|
This month’s awards were as well earned as ever – congratulations!
How do we choose the Extra Mile Award recipients?
The concept of recognising our employees for going above and beyond their day to day job responsibilities with the Extra Mile Awards has recently been reviewed to align it with our Staff Charter.
This gives us a strong and consistent foundation for how we base our nominations, which – by linking our staff and customer value – are now considered against the following criteria:
