It’s been three months since we opened the first Robinson Manufacturing plant outside our core territory of England, but three months in, and our roof truss factory in Wales is thriving, and is even ahead of projections!

Robinson’s Roof Truss Factory in Wales Ahead of Plan

Roof Truss FactoryThis week sees us ordering a new truck for the base just outside Newport and we have already committed to a second new saw and press, which are due to arrive in October.

“Our manufacturing base in Wales is generating lots of positive input from our existing national housebuilder clients who have faith in the continuing success of Robinson Manufacturing,” commented a Mark Smy, Managing Director. “The new factory is nearly three months ahead of where our now-established Essex plant was at the same stage, so I am delighted with progress.”

The team at the Abercarn plant are doing really well, and in addition to the high production rate, have also managed to get a new LED lighting system installed, reducing our carbon footprint. A new overhead gantry is also being installed for the production of spandrel panels.
