RML Turn Kickstart Scheme Participants Into Full Time Colleagues

RML have been working with the Government backed Kickstart Scheme in order to help provide opportunities to 16 to 24 years olds with a work placement, as detailed in our previous news updates.

Recently, due to the hard work of the young people taking part in the scheme, RML have now been able to offer some of these young people full time roles. The HR, Production, Customer Experience and Design departments will all be benefiting from the new full time employees.

CEO Simon Kidney is delighted with how well the Kickstart scheme is working out:

“Sometimes, young people just need to be given a chance to shine; some of the youngsters who were placed with us have already been doing brilliant things and we benefit hugely from taking them on into permanent roles.”

Also, Rebecca Straw, who is one of the team members to be made permanent, has this to say about joining RML:

“It is great to see that RML are keen to offer full time employment to enthusiastic young people at a time where the economy and jobs market are faced with uncertainty. Personally, I am excited to start my new position at RML and am grateful to be given this opportunity.”
