Refreshing The Induction Process
The HR department at Robinson Manufacturing (RML) has been working with the HSEQ team in an operation to update the induction process.
The content of the new employee induction process is regularly reviewed to make sure it is up to date and gives new team members a comprehensive overview of what they need to know.
The induction has now more in-depth coverage of pertinent HR-related subjects as well as H&S, such as equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace as well as training on the ‘Youmanage’ HR system launched earlier this year. Staff can then access the system at any time should they need to refresh their knowledge post-induction.
Head of HR Anna Kennedy made this comment on the latest developments:
“By using our HR system to signpost staff to important policies and data that are available 24/7, it provides maximum value to any new colleague entering the business. The update has led to a more dynamic and well-rounded induction that keeps up with the needs of a rapidly growing business.”
