Peter Grant MP visits RML Scotland

Robinson Manufacturing (RML) was pleased to welcome the visit by Peter Grant, MP for Glenrothes and Central Fife, to its Scottish factory in Buckhaven today.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss support for businesses wishing to invest in the area and plans for development in and of the region.

RML’s CEO, Simon Kidney, was joined by RML’s General Manager, Matt Korny, and Head of Production, Jamie Wilkins. Discussions were held after a tour of the engineered timber floor joist factory.

Commenting on the visit, Simon Kidney explained: “It’s important for businesses of all sizes to continue to engage with the outside world – not just with local communities, but also with local authorities and elected representatives,” he continued: “Peter’s pragmatic and reasonable approach to supporting businesses in his constituency was refreshing and it was a pleasure to show him round our factory.”

Peter Grant MP had the following to say about RML’s Buckhaven factory “I was pleased to visit RML in Buckhaven and to hear about their plans for future investment here. It’s particularly pleasing to see the confidence they have in Fife, and especially in Levenmouth, as a place to invest. I was also encouraged by the approach they are taking in seeking to maintain good relations with local residents and to minimise any adverse impacts from bringing this factory back into use.”
