Introducing Paul Holloway – Our new Wales & West Branch Manager
Since the introduction of our Wales and West based factory in Abercarn, we have been able to reach our customers in the South West with much more efficiency. In the consistent pursuit of excellence and growth, we have been putting considerable effort into increasing the capacity and output from this site to meet customer’s needs. In addition to the recent investment into a new truss press, we have recently appointed a Wales and West Branch Manager to closely oversee production, Paul Holloway.
With vast experience in the timber manufacturing industry, Paul has held many managerial positions and overseen the establishment of a factory operation from scratch. He has a proven track record of meeting demanding targets relating to output, quality, efficiency, safety and waste minimisation – giving us confidence in applying this to our business.
After working in Scotland as a General Manager at BSW Timber Systems, Paul decided to return to his Welsh roots after this opportunity arose. Starting his early career as a Carpenter and Timber Frame erector, Paul has the background product knowledge to hit the ground running and make an impact. He will be working closely with Head of Truss Production Mat Harbour to ensure all staff are fully trained and consistently working to a high standard.
As a coach and people person, Paul is a strong believer in being successful through building a strong team. He has previously led teams by example, encouraging accountability and continuous improvement. Strong communication is at the heart of this and Paul already has plans to build team bonding through social interaction outside of work. This creates a more collaborative working atmosphere – something Paul is keen to encourage.
After only a month working for RML, there have already been positive changes and the possibilities of growth for Wales are within reach. We look forward to seeing the progression and strengthening of teams in Abercarn.
