Robinson Manufacturing (RML) takes the Health and Safety of its employees seriously and making sure health and safety measures are adhered to is an ongoing task for everyone in the business. RML also has a team dedicated to carrying out regular audits of all our sites to assess compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements are followed.

HSE and Facilities Coordinator, Emma Carr who is part of the HSEQ and Facilities team is dedicated to expanding her knowledge of factory roles, and recently spent a day in the factory accompanied by Tom Carter our Branch Manager, who walked her through the process of how to measure the timber on the truss table and how to set up the truss table. Besides enhancing her skill set this training will help her to carry out audits more accurately.

When asked about her training Emma said:

“I enjoyed my time at the factory, learning about truss production. I am a practical person therefore I welcomed the experience on the shop floor. Tom has explained to me everything step by step which have made a huge difference in the speed of my learning. Having this training will benefit not only me, but the whole teams as I can not only do the check, but also help out and give advice if needed.”
