New Saw At RML Wales & West

Robinson Manufacturing (RML) has made a further investment in their infrastructure with a new saw being installed at RML Wales & West.

As seen at other sites the business owns, the new saw being installed has seen an immediate boost to production, capacity, and morale.

The Birch EMS Trusscut saw joins the other one already in situ at the branch and also comes with safety features such as plastic sheets that protect from any debris created from operating the machinery.

AV Timber Engineering, the company responsible for the saw sales and service, describe the saw as:

“Simple to operate, efficient in operation and reducing waste, the EMS saw utilises file transfer by network or USB flash drive or input directly onto the touchscreen.”

Interestingly, they also detail how:

“All the clamp shafts, clamp guide rods and pneumatic cylinder rods are made of stainless steel and the guide bushes are Teflon lined. This eliminates any lubrication or rust problems and renders them maintenance free.”

Senior Manager for Trusses, Tom Carter also adds his thoughts on the newest RML investment:

“Investing in infrastructure is a part of the RML fabric, and the growth and development of our equipment and capabilities is at the heart of all decisions the business makes. The new saw at RML Wales & West is all part of a wider development of the site, where we are increasing our output, storage capacity and overall efficiency and it is exciting to see how this all plays out as we look to the future of this site.”
