Meet Carey Winder: RML Marketing Executive

I have a degree and over 8 years’ experience in the Marketing industry working with a wide variety of clients on an Agency basis, from self employed builders to large, commercial scale wood flooring companies.

I will be supporting the Head of Marketing, Eppie Anderson, in maximising on the various channels RML have at their disposal, and already have started taking on projects and tasks. However even before starting at RML I was excited to join as Eppie had sent me Easter eggs through the post!

Sharing the latest company news both internally via our staff newsletter and externally by updating our website will also be a big part of my role. Working closely with Eppie and the wider team develop the social media strategy and work to clearly communicate developments at RML as it grows is also something I am keen to achieve.

So far, the first week has seen me take part in the most fun Health and Safety induction ever, and it must have sunk in as I passed the test at the end! As well as this I have started communication with key figures from across the whole business and have already booked in some day trips to see our other sites.

I went to see one of our clients on their building site in the Rugby area, see below for a picture of me holding onto some scaffolding very tightly, I learnt that maybe I am not as OK with heights as I thought I was! I was made to feel very welcome and it was great to see the journey of our product, expertly explained and demonstrated to me by Dean Thomas. I have also visited our Cheshire based centre, where I was given a warm welcome and a whistle stop tour by Sarah and the team.

I am very grateful for the opportunity here at RML and relish the chance to be apart of some exciting developments that will have a massive impact across the business. I want to help drive forward the marketing strategy and look forward to engaging with all departments in order to make this happen.
