IOSH Rollout Continues
RML continues to roll out the IOSH Managing Safely training programme across the business (we have our own IOSH Managing Safely training provider license). The roll out, led by Head of HSEQ, Matt Davies, initially covers members of the Senior Leadership Team, Supervisors and team leaders. RML has also allowed for non-managerial delegates to attend the course.
Graduates from the most recent three day course, pictured below, are Anna Kennedy, Head of HR, Anthony Jane-Gray, Management Accountant & Matt Korny, Head of Strategy.
While the course is currently running with fewer delegates than usual due to social distancing requirements, the roll out continues as it is so key to how we prioritise safety across the business.
Head of HSEQ, Matt Davies, comments about his experience running the course, and the benefits of smaller groups:
“It’s always good to get people from different areas of the business on the health and safety courses. It’s a great opportunity to promote health and safety in a positive manner and give employees up-to-date health and safety information. The smaller groups have given us the opportunity to have more discussions on different Health & Safety subject matters.”
Delegates have their own views:
Anthony from Finance: “By doing the IOSH managing safely course I gained knowledge of my responsibilities and accountabilities for health and safety within the workplace.”
Anna from HR: “The course was a great insight into health and safety in the workplace and how I can take responsibility to influence and embed a safety culture. Matt makes the course interactive, relevant and engaging which really helps to retain the learning.”
