Introducing The Tenoner
As part of our series on our Joinery operation and the equipment we use, we would like to introduce the tenoner.
The tenoner is used in the manufacture of high quality windows. Our 4-head Vertongen tenoner dramatically reduces the time required to make high quality, demanding and complex tenoning jobs, using cutters spinning at 4500rpm.
The tenoner machine runs extremely quietly and has a dust rejecting transparent screen. This screen travels with the table to keep the machine dust away from the workplace. The tenoner machine has been designed in this way for the health, safety and wellbeing of our joiners.
Our tenoner machine has an engine power of 1.2kW – 3000rpm. It offers a cutting height of 150mm and a saw diameter of 400mm. The spindle heads of the tenoner have an engine power of 2x 2.2 kW and 4500 rpm. Meanwhile, the vertical axes have an engine power of 5.5 kW and 4000 rpm. The tenoner machine is an incredible piece of kit regularly used by our joinery team.
