Every month, Robinson Manufacturing rewards a member of staff who has done something exceptional, whether that’s to help colleagues or customers.

Nominations can be made by any of our colleagues, and the winner is chosen by the leadership team.

For February, the award winners are:

  • Amanda Keown – nominated by Shelby Bird – Since a member of the team left Amanda has picked up more tasks, increasing her workload and has just got on with it without hesitation or complaint. She produces everything to a high standard and has managed to minimise the amount of invoices we have on dispute quite dramatically.  She’s proactive in resolving queries when they arise and often works through her lunch to make sure that deadlines are met.Whenever we have a new starter in the Office she always goes above and beyond to make them feel welcome and part of the team. All in all she is a team player and makes the office a more enjoyable place to be
  • Roxanne Newton – nominated by Mark Gibson, Jo Parr & Michelle Brayfield – Inspires the team to deliver targets and the correct levels of customer service during pressing times. Has delivered assistance to the sales team throughout the recent transition period aiding calls, reports, training. Making sure the customer experience has been smooth throughout. Roxanne is always willing to help, and her time keeping in terms of requests has been great and needed during these recent manic times. I would like to nominate Roxanne for the Extra Mile as she has been so so helpful these last few weeks, helping to get call offs on the system , even working on her day off, giving new staff some extra guidance whilst I have been busy….putting orders on so we are able to call off plots. She has been an absolute star!
  • Jim Nellies – nominated by Rob Ardis – I would like to nominate Jim for his can do attitude when faced by the adversity of maintaining Dickensian saw machinery and for thinking outside the box when fixing the extraction system at extreme height
  • Stuart Penn – nominated by Mat Harbour and Chris Alldread – For his calmness under the pressure of a recent accident.  Well beyond a normal situation to deal with. It certainly shows true character and stepping up to the plate when the worst happens.

This month’s awards were as well earned as ever – congratulations!

How do we choose the Extra Mile Award recipients?

The concept of recognising our employees for going above and beyond their day to day job responsibilities with the Extra Mile Awards has recently been reviewed to align it with our Staff Charter.

This gives us a strong and consistent foundation for how we base our nominations, which – by linking our staff and customer value – are now considered against the following criteria:

  • Innovate
  • Deliver
  • Inspire
