Developing RML Scotland
Located on the East Coast of Fife, RML Scotland is undergoing a site-wide upgrade, from new signage for the building to clearance of the land.
RML Scotland was born from the acquisition of National Hickman in February 2019, and recently moved to a more practical location. The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic then delayed the plans which are now in full swing.
The Senior Leadership Team visited the factory and offices in September to review what needed doing and to formally get the ball rolling on the plans. Facilities Manager Greg Farrar then carried out the improvements with Maintenance Operative Stephen Gwynne.
Whilst visiting RML Scotland, Head of QESH Matt Davies also delivered IOSH Managing Safely training. Production Scheduler Carol Webb and Production Team Leader Greg Caird were two of the recipients of the training who can also look forward to more training later in the month.
Another recipient of the training from Matt was Branch Manager Rob Ardis, who made this comment on the development of RML Scotland:
“Despite the pandemic, and the sudden growth, it has been great to see there has been a focus and plan maintained by the business to ensure the Scottish division of the company is kept up to the high standards we see across the whole brand. This is only the start, with the offices due for a new roof and modernisation next – the future looks bright.”
