Robinson Manufacturing and Apprenticeships

Robinson Manufacturing has a very positive approach to apprenticeships and  recognises that running a scheme helps create a dedicated, loyal workforce. The majority of apprentices are young school or college leavers, so they have lots of energy to learn the ways of our business as we help them climb the career ladder. Although apprentices may not have any actual workplace experience, we have found that they can offer a fresh perspective and have new ideas, which are just as valuable to a growing business. Young people often have strong technology skills which come from using computers and tools such as social media from an early age, and they can use this knowledge to help us build a competitive advantage.

Talent Development

The leadership team has an important role to play in supporting the design and development of talent management to fit the needs of Robinson Manufacturing. Human Resources also play a critical role in facilitating and maintaining momentum in talent development. Marketing Executive

Marketing Executive

The ideal candidate will be ambitious with previous experience in a Marketing role. They will be a creative and analytical thinker and be able to conduct insightful market research that will support business decisions. They should be comfortable evaluating the marketing process, and work to critique and improve its outcomes. 

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain flow of business content to company platforms
  • Implement our Community Outreach programme, liaising with internal departments to facilitate a range of community engagement activities
  • Create and share sector data
  • Create and maintain customer research
  • Manage administrative relationships with CSR partners
  • Purchase promotional items and marketing collateral
  • Co-ordinate and evaluate marketing campaigns and events

Skills and abilities

  • Relevant experience within a similar marketing role
  • GCSE level education including English and Maths
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent IT/computer skills including a range of digital platforms
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Ambition and drive to achieve the potential for promotion

Production Operatives Essex, Wellingborough & Wales

Production Operatives Essex, Wellingborough & Wales

Hours: Monday to Friday; 40 per week with overtime available

Production bonus available

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Operate production equipment such as mechanical presses, hoists, pneumatic tools, hand tools and wood cutting machines.
  • Manual handling of raw wood materials.
  • Assembling roof trusses and/or floor joists as part of a production team
  • Placing metal reinforcement plates over connecting joints using hammer or mechanical press.
  • Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic quality checks.
  • Carrying out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery.
  • Ensuring products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications.
  • Banding products together ready for transportation.
  • Correctly mark and identify customer details on products.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety standards are maintained and recorded through daily checks.

The right candidate will be able to:

  • Work across multiple areas of the assembly process.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team.
  • Work on own initiative when necessary.
  • Read and follow written and verbal instructions and work to standards.
  • Work to within tight deadlines and with minimum supervision.
  • Learn quickly.
  • Work with good Manual dexterity.
  • Understand production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work.

Roof Truss Designer/Estimator

Robinson Manufacturing specialises in the manufacture of high quality timber engineered Roof Trusses, Floor Joists and Glulam Beams supplied to house builders, commercial property developers, architects and contractors nationally as well as regionally and locally.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Roof Truss Designer/Estimator to join our expanding team.

We are looking for an individual with strong communication skills that are self-motivated, with good attention to detail and able to work to deadlines.

HGV Class 1 Drivers Wolverhampton

HGV Class 1 Drivers Required – Wolverhampton

Salary – Competitive Rates, minimum contract 40 hours per week with further overtime available

Due to increasing workloads, we are now looking to expand the team and are recruiting HGV class 1 drivers to join us at our site in Wolverhampton, delivering to construction sites.

The ideal candidate will possess a flexible attitude to work, be happy assisting with vehicle loading and unloading and hold a full HGV class 1 or 2 licence, DQC and a Digital Tachograph card.  Only HGV category C+E or C drivers will qualify.  You must have no more than 6 penalty points for driving offences and no driving bans.

Customer Experience Executive - Wolverhampton

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Experience Executive to join our Customer Experience team at our Wolverhampton office. The key role responsibilities are to:

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls and identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Actively field incoming calls with a view to resolving within CET, aiming for minimal business disruption.
  • Identify at first point of call where customer contact will result in raising a PRO (process refinement opportunity) and issue these directly to the Customer Resolution Executive.
  • Provide potential and existing customers with the highest level of customer service.
  • Update internal databases with customer details.
  • Log new enquiries and orders onto company systems accurately and timely and maintain customer accounts by recording account information and customer interactions.
  • Meet personal/team targets and call handling quotas.

The hours are 8:00 to 5:00, Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a tenacious and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Management Accountant

Robinson Manufacturing (part of Conspargo Ltd) specialises in high quality timber engineered Roof Trusses and Floor Joists (I beams, metal web joists and glulam beams).

This newly created role will be reporting directly into the Finance Director, and will be responsible for all brands across the Conspargo portfolio.

This is a key role in the team as they will be seen as a real go to person. It goes without saying that the successful candidate will therefore need to possess strong financial systems, process know how and communication skills.

We’re looking for a natural self-starter that has a rounded background in Finance covering Management Accounts. Experience in developing systems and managing change, plus communicating to the wider business.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Month end accruals / prepayments process
  • Closing of month end
  • Preparation of company results, including commentary
  • Business Partner to senior leadership team members, ensuring monthly review meetings of results held.
  • Annual budget setting
  • Quarterly forecast preparation alongside SLT members
  • Ensuring data is accurate, reliable and timely
  • Ad-hoc reporting to support business decisions

 Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all times
  • Excellent standard of IT skills/good knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word)
  • Customer focused
  • Able to work efficiently in a team

  • Organised and calm under pressure
  • Understanding of data privacy standards
  • Able to respond to changing priorities




  • Good standard of education (GCSE or equivalent in English and maths)
  • ACMA / ACCA student preferred but not essential.
