RAF Brampton Galliford Try
Robinson Manufacturing are delighted to announce that we have just been awarded the truss order for the first phase of development at former RAF Brampton site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
This continues our successful partnership with Galliford Try Central.
Galliford Try were awarded the £23.5m contract by Metropolitan Housing Trust.
The 210 unit site is branded Brampton Park, and the site extends across 14 acres of land on the old Air base. Homes will be marketed by Linden Homes, part of the Galliford Try Group.
The development comprises of 36 flats in four three- storey blocks and 174 houses.
RAF Brampton was closed in 2013.
Brampton itself is a large village with some 5,000 residents and is situated 2 miles south west of Huntingdon. It is 16 miles from Cambridge and an hour from Kings Cross by train.
It has direct access to the A1 and A14 and nearby rail links to London, Peterborough and beyond. There is also a recently introduced guided bus that goes from St. Ives to Cambridge with a link from Huntingdon. A regular bus service passes through the village en route from Huntingdon and St Neots. Hinchingbrooke Hospital serves Brampton and the surrounding area.
